Cyndi Murphy
Term Expires 2010 | Communion Coordinator
I received the Lord at the age of ten. It wasn’t until I was in college that I was faced with the decision of whom I was going to serve in my life, the world or Christ. I chose Christ and started my daily walk with Him. God has always been faithful through the years and I know that He will continue.
I started attending First Federated Church in the early ‘70s. The music program was a draw and I joined choir. I have continued to be involved with choir since those early days. Other areas in which I’ve served are: Women’s Circle as a member, chairman and substitute Bible teacher; several years on the Women’s Executive Council as chairman of the fall conference and later the Christmas tea; Deaconess for 2 terms; and various Bible study groups. I am currently in a FED group for women.
I see the role of deaconess as one of service. As a deaconess, I can fulfill my goal of serving the church, especially the women of the church.
